Okay, so it's not as bad as I thought
Jun. 29th, 2005 10:45 pmThe job gained a little more variety when I elected to take overtime shifts. Still, at the same time I also have this feeling I'm going to lose this job soon too: not long after I offered my overtime services, I ended up doing more things that really get to pad my resume up. I guess it's not so bad, but I *still* wish these damn temp agencies would notice that I am looking for administrative work.
It just seems ridiculous; I know it is, because my last position ended up getting half of the temps fired. Why? Apparently, I did my job too well; it was visibly apparent by the others because I was handling files at breakneck speed, so the overload of work was cut into something much more manageable shortly thereafter thanks to my efficiency. I'm not blowing hot wind here: everyone was telling me this, and no one I have heard around my work place ever makes comments about anyone's productivity.
Um, done a little more typing up in terms of the novel as well as the fan fiction piece: two chapters on fanfiction.net. Not much more to say, I guess. Ugh, I hate conforming into blandness from overwork. Needless to say, I will abuse this job to pad my resume to maximum efficiency, even *if* I had to come in late three times in a row (which I blame on these bus routes that seem to disavow any form of logic). Hopefully, it will pad it into something that will have me doing something more interesting; I don't mind the constant uniformity at the moment, but I will say this: I'm glad they said it would only last all summer at the most.
Edit:Ugh, and now it's late night but I'm wasting my time singing along to my songs with headphones on. I'm a bad boy.
