I finally got something remotely close to an ATM card from Wachovia. It's been a month of their bungling that had prevented me from actually withdrawing cash normally. I've used at least 5 checks just so I could withdraw cash normally; it's not fun. The first time was because they failed to place a zip code. The second time, two weeks later, was from a phone call inquiry I performed. They said it would be sent in 7 days.
10 days later I try again; they list the card as lost and never sent me a damn card. Now I have a temporary. I swear, if I get charged for any debit card use then I'm complaining for this month of crap.
I ended up buying a can of Pepsi Twist. You remember that stuff? I hope you do, because mine certainly was forgotten.

How's that for awesome? I was on the hunt for Vanilla Pepsi when I found this next to the cans of vanilla coke. I was tempted to save it for later, but now I'm tempted to just dump it. There went my fantasies for enjoying a soft drink that was no longer exclusively available... I wonder what month old soft drink tastes like. This is probably why Pepsi added those damn "freshness" dates! Damn it, this stuff's canned; it's supposed to last at least as long as tuna or something!
I do admit this isn't as bad as finding those bottles of Stewart's they had that were never bought because of the barf-scented gunk that they were covered in. Yes, I washed them thoroughly; I love Stewart's, but I'm not that addicted to it.
Anyway, the moral here is that you can find many amazing things in Jersey City... mainly because most of it is way older than it should be.
