An Air of Uneasy Confidence

zesty_pintoWhat did I do last night? A lot more walking where nothing happened. Allow me to elaborate:
I walked home (and for people who were concerned, I had half a tuna sandwich today, which gave me more than enough stamina for the rest of the night), and went to get some Thai food. When I stepped in, the rancid greasy smell of a kitchen flooded my nose. It turns out they had a problem with their grill, so I just got some of those cool coconut-flavored jellies, and headed to Dunkin Donuts for a chai since I haven’t had one in ages. I found out chai is no longer on the menu.
Chai no longer there?! Chai was the only thing I liked there!
I finally walked home through the rest of the way on a surprisingly windy night. The cold penetrated and numbed my fingers with some light burn stings, but the rest of my body needed the cold to sear away the moisture and keep me from sweating out.
So I went home instead, ordered in some Chinese that I barely could touch (so much food!) and then ended up doing some UO with a champ followed by a paragon boss with my friends. L0074g3 ftw.

This one was a simple bit because it was the only one I had time to do. The Limited 40mm really puts out some great images and is a half-to-full second faster than the 16-50 since there’s no hesitation in operation of the AF drive.
I found myself dissatisfied with previous shots, but then I realized it came from the fact that my Camera Raw was putting out the image at double the normal pixel size, so of course anything at 100% was going to look fuzzy as hell! No problem, just need to keep working on it. I should seriously consider getting a 1.4 or 1.7 since I do nothing but low-light photography during the weekdays (for obvious reasons).
Cinema
Okay, tonight maybe I’ll see Milk or Frost/Nixon. I think I’m in the right mindset to see these sort of intense political movies with their potential share of overly subjective bias. This weekend it’s Gran Torino. It better be since I held back on seeing it for a MONTH for my friends’ sakes!
Am I the only one noting the cult following Repo! The Genetic Opera is gaining? The momentum of fandom is growing larger and larger. Landing a spot in this film may just be the best decision Paris Hilton ever made in her entire life.
