UPS delivery men are trained in the arts of ninjitsu. How else can you explain these 5'8 guys in uniforms carrying around packages, going from house to house with packages yet never being able to make any noise to let you know that they have your package? In my mind, there is a vision of a UPS training ground somewhere where several people are taught to snatch pebbles out of the hands of their senior employers and taught how to place packages in the shadows, inconspicuously like they were planting explosive payload.

...okay, maybe I'm overdoing it *just* a bit, but I waited a week for this DVD set to come in and they didn't make any attempt to tell me that my package came in, making me have to do a routine trip to the clubhouse to pick it up. It's no mile-long run, but it is conspicuously trialsome for someone that just wants to take their DVDs and enjoy the laughs of an MST3k collection in private.

I feel bad because I *know* I can syphon another story out of me but I'm not putting enough effort to get more juice out of me. I know I can. Perhaps it's the music; I can always breed emotion out of my fingertips when I listen to the right music to sweep me as my mind flows. Best pieces are usually the ones that emote surprisingly well, like symphonies of rage, awe, fear, bliss... something that gets my quiet voice into an empowered roar. Er, within the emotions I want, at least. I usually mix and match depending on the type of mood I want, but I want that passion invoked.

Unfortunately, my brother forced me to watch "High Fidelity", so now I feel this urge to mix and match more music that'll help me in my focus. Well that, and make me wonder if I ever pulled crap like the thing Cussack did to his #2 breakup. Yeesh, what a waste all for the sake of the bra.

Currently using-
Vanessa Carlton - Ordinary Day
Better Than Ezra - Closer (it's addictive, OKAY?!)
John Waite - Change
Midnight Oil - In The Valley
Pet Shop Boys - Tonight is Forever
Electronic - Getting Away With It
Billy Joel - I Go To Extremes
ABBA - Dancing Queen
Level 42 - Lasso The Moon
Toad The Wet Sprocket - Come Down
Toad The Wet Sprocket - One Little Girl
Toad The Wet Sprocket - Unquiet
The Cure - Friday I'm In Love

Um, did I mention that I'm a big 80s geek? I'm sort of annoyed that a good portion of this is also the travel music I put into my mp3 cd player...
It's a mix that I *think* will get me into the mood I need... a few hopeful, a few sad, some just for pure adrenaline, all for the pure emotional kick. The story's aim is another relationship piece, so it just *might* do the trick. If it does then maybe I'm figuring something out and I can use it on other things.

Damn, this sounds *lame*. Enough typing to myself, time to try it out. ^_^

wasn't it in the movie? charlie is the one he adores and then decides she wasn't worth idolizing because she was human.
