Why Does Sex Sell?

Apparently because we like putting it into our things. For us, it's like adding something we don't like to talk about into the open, it adds shock. It helps drive people's hormones and thus makes them want more like crack addicts. You probably wouldn't even be reading this if I didn't say the S- word.
-which is why I end up seeing it everywhere.
Music is more based on sex appeal than proficiency with creative instrumentation. Movie stars are encouraged to have more of a sex appeal to sell better to audiences in the theatres. Posters, commercials, any form of media whatsoever has to at least show one woman who seems to be in some sort of seductive indulgence of a sexual nature. Heck, even the fact that I'm writing about this tells me how overrated it is.
I'm tired of sex sells. Even in these journal entries; it's getting old. I'm sounding old just by saying that it's old, but guess what? It's dead! Hooray! Let's bury it into a shallow grave for the next ten years now like all good fashions, you know, like horror shock (though I think someone keeps digging open the graves for that: explains all the bad teen movies, eh?).
