I'm *still* not sure on what to use for an image hosting source. Should I just say "screw it" and go with Flickr?

Flickr is good especially if you're wanting to share. Plus it links to your blog, has plugins for all major editing software and I'm there. :)

The big issue I have is that this is for my local boy scout troop. I don't mind if it's public since it would actually bring a little more awareness of the troop to begin with, but the one thing I hate about Flickr is its lack of static weblinks I can put up. Do you know if Flickr has any static addresses that they allow that one can use to refer to people who don't like to type GYBZ4Q or something like that?

I tend to use the URL listed in the address bar for linking. You could always go through Tinyurl.com.

Yeah, Flickr's my way to go too. They've got everything that I need for sharing, even being able to share private photos with people that aren't Flickr members, which I really like. Just embrace Flickr; you know you want to. :P

I'm annoyed at the fact that Flickr doesn't really have any static address I can use to give to people that doesn't look like GWSDLV23A. Do you know if they have anything like that?

Also, I didn't know you use Flickr too.

Yep, I'm on Flickr too. Hahaha, even my dad is on Flickr! I'll definitely add you as a contact.

I always use http://www.flickr.com/photos/amanjo as my static address to give to people. But for photosets, unfortunately, it's always kind of a weird long address full of gobbledygook.

Ah ha, so it is possible! In that case, I'll have to figure out a open photo account to dump the stuff to(good thing I have another account on Yahoo) and post to it that way.

I should be glad that was the only one I saw. The night before the scoutmaster was wandering into our site and saw a rattler two feet away from him that didn't even bother giving him a warning signal. He was so spooked that he had phantom foot pains from thinking he was bitten.
