Yes, I've been reading too much MSNBC

Yes, as mediums become more universal, so do they get abused. I acknowledge this as a factor that occurs with anything that becomes readily integrated into society. Reading about the use of youtube to publically display their own snuff films, though, is damn right scary. Then again, have you ever checked out the comments boxes in youtube? It's a combination of partisan and bigot. In other words, it's the internet. Of course, though, this also makes me question what other things are being hidden away in these blog communities. I can only wonder when Federal agencies start to alias themselves internally with the community and company, and use the site for their own purposes.
Interesting enough that not too long ago, I also read an article about the tribute nature of dead myspace users. Don't know if there might be any connections between the two, though.
