Forgive me Father, for I have sinned.
I purchased a dozen bells for the wedding from Bevins Bells, thinking I'd get a discounted rate because I was buying a decent number of them and their website listed bulk rates that suggested the amount I was buying was applicable to paying less.
I did not get a cheaper rate though. I actually paid more and when I asked customer service about the rates under a pretense to get more of them, someone even laughed at the idea despite how it was displayed on their website.
Upon further research, it turns out that Bevins Brothers includes Matt Bevin under their family; Matt Bevin, the conservative senator from Kentucky who can't even live in CT where I sourced these from. Given the experience, I should have known.
No worries though, we're going to use a set of two other different bells. Michelle is okay if we use spray paint. Different bells means different sounds too. The cowbells we got are LOUD so if we have them mixed with other types of bells, then we should have a better mix of sounds as a result.
I also saw a travesty in the supermarket.
Halloween candy.
That's right, Halloween has creeped into July. When I mentioned this, someone I know said that they were required to put the stuff up by August 1st because it was to replace the Back to School stuff that was put up in June.
The irony is that the person who told me this is a teacher.
"Imagine being a teacher and not even packed up from the previous year and going into your job to set out school supplies!"
More to do today, always so busy. If I have time then I'll post more, but these two anecdotes stuck out to me.
