The live action Beauty and the Beast remake always annoyed me and I finally realized what it was about it that annoyed me. A lot of the animated film felt like it lent credence to the 1946 Jean Cocteau rendition of the film.
I shouldn't say it's a 1:1 rendition of it, but I keep looking at the live action remake and think back to how it's a remake of an animated film, that lent a lot from a live action film and it annoys me again, especially when you remove most of the whimsy the live action films are wont to do.
But that's enough about my gripe of the day. It's been a week! Wow, how about that, huh? Seven days! Ha ha!
( Behold, my wall of text! )
Anyway in closing, I got to tell you: out of all the greatest things I could have expected for Memorial Day, none of them topped a kid with a bolt action nerf gun sniping someone in a pink jeep. If that's what's waiting for me when I head back to Hull, then we need to head back more often.
