Quarter inch last night, it's still here as I write this. This is going to be a classic Vermont thanksgiving, that's for sure.

I spent last night doing laundry, transiting between the flakes in the still night. The drive back by the way was insane. The branches apparently would accumulate with powder and a simple breeze would blind us to the point of driving at 15 mph with hazards on.

At the laundry room, our neighbor asked if we could play with the noise down at night, leading to my embarrassment: I've been playing Deus Ex during the late nights and my rig has a subwoofer so it gets really easy to hear certain things. I profusely apologized and we discussed a bit about the garden, which has been a point of contention. Our neighbor finds the micromanaging here frustrating and I can't really blame her. I told her I would just like some transparency over all of this.

I spent the night making acorn squash soup. I have a marinade bag full of Korean barbecue. I also have a new, larger crockpot that was purchased on sale. Huzzah!

We saw a Roomba 980 for really cheap on Amazon and I missed out on it, much to my frustration. It was 600 which is still expensive but in Roomba terms, that's a really good deal. We'll have to keep an eye out for it again in case it'll happen (chances are it will).

I bought a few small things for Michelle, but nothing really significant in scale. She told me I'm good at getting gifts, but to be honest I'm having trouble figuring out what to get her that's significant. I already ordered the famous women astronauts LEGO set and the matching advent calendar. Maybe a book? I am eyeing a photo book of New Orleans graffiti after Katrina...

Tonight I have a pie crust in a springform pan that will be filled with pecan filling later today, maybe I'll do a creme brulee too? Also more acorn squash soup, so will need more shallots and acord squash; just three should do the trick.

I wanted to work on the campaign, but my updates on my computer haven't been updated. Ugh. Tempted to risk it anyway, but it looks like work came in.
