(no subject)
Feb. 14th, 2005 01:35 pmI'm sitting in a computer lab dripping rainwater and essence of my conditioner as I sit down. I skipped class this morning; I didn't read up like I should have and I have a feeling today's lecture is not going to be that intense a learning experience anyway. I think Adi may have made me jaded to feminist literature, so I point the finger of shame at her for making me think that 18th century literature written by sleazy men is more valuable than the literature of p.o.'d feminists which constitutes one of my requirements to get out of this university *boo hoo hoo*.
Anyway, on to more serious events:
The manuscript hit page 18 last night, meaning I have around 40 pages in Courier format double-space. Thankfully, it still maintains some consistency with the last few chapters as well, meaning this is so far not in vain as I slowly reform it into a novella status.
I do not see what the big deal of Valentine's Day is and it's starting to weird me out that I'm surrounded by people who are making a deal out of loving/hating it (no offense to you guys, but I can only see so much before I start scratching my head and wondering how much more I get inundated with).
I found another group that I never knew about called "The Wrens." Some of their songs aren't too bad, but what really kicks it is that they lived in Secaucus for some time and even named one of their albums after some of the locations here. Wild. Cornelius was another one. Point of View Point wasn't that good, but then I found out about the other pieces he did and am pretty impressed at how the style goes; almost progressive, although there are obvious synthesized influences within it (feel free to disprove me, I'm entirely new to the concept of being a music snob).
Adi is evilI (platonically) love Adi. Even if she likes turkeys, which Wesley Willis said are evil and deserve to be beat with a baseball bat.
