Other odd observations

Apparently, I'm not the only one that was disturbed at the OKCupid mentality. I saw a journal entry the other day that made me snigger at its snarky remarks at the horny men that flock the site and it was so funny that I replied to her with a remark that poked fun at the very thing she mocked and a salute to her wiseass skills. Somehow, though, I see my point also being taken the wrong way since half of the people on these sites are illiterate, no matter how well they can type out their own interests.
Actually, thinking back on that some more, I remember someone on my flist that seemed to have some trouble on it that to this day she refuses to divulge upon (you know who you are). This does not include the many stories I hear about men twenty years the senior of the person who hit on them.
THIS DOES NOT SUGGEST THAT THE PEOPLE ON IT ARE PERVERTS. Actually, some people on here probably would like to be called that as a badge of honor, but I still refuse to agree with that statement. I do, however, still find it quite hilarious nonetheless. The site itself obviously reflects a problem that is mirroring the current trends of the dating scene, I would like to think. Either that, or there are waaaaay too many horny left-indoors-for-too-long geeks out there on the dating site scene.
