Yeah, yeah yeah... I know you folks know about my birthday. It sort of scares me that so many people care: my 21st one was spent living in obscurity just to make sure I wasn't forced into a pub lol

I got to save bus fare to help reduce me needing to beg my parents for fares by being able to leave with my parents. Since I left extra early (I wanted to make sure that I didn't come too too late like all those times when I try to get there on time waiting for a bus that rarely does), I decided to walk to help clear my thoughts. I estimated the walking distance was only 20-30 minutes away anyway so I've still have enough time to recap as well as give my mind some busy work to help clear it of any anxieties. Unfortunately, I also wore new shoes that were really unbroken into. So unbroken into that they broke into me. When I got to the building, I checked the back of my ankle and found it bleeding from all the scraping it had against the tough leather. I laughed a bit as I tried to wear out the back and a math professor that was passing by jokingly commented that I should be doing that at home and I showed him my stain. He then told me about an achilles tendon he pulled from his running (he's a really decent runner for his age from what I've been told). I felt sorry for him though at the same time, I didn't mean to show it off so much as just explain that I needed to wear down my shoes before they wear me down. I'm not sure if he got the point, but I hope he did; I hate showing off injuries, especially silly little ones.

The Anatomy exam was... well, it was blah. I should have done better since I knew I could but I was also exhausted beyond reality. I didn't pump myself with caffeine just to make sure I didn't lose my ability to memorize (caffeine is a great booster for short actions, but for longer term memory, I find that it tends to blur me when taken excessively).

When I got home, I came home with some fattening chinese food as a way to condition some sort of reward into me: yeah, I know I sucked at the exam, but I also wanted to pick up some of those more ideal study conditions such as reading up on notes more often. To tell you the truth, I was having upset stomach sensations, though I think it was from the liquid diet of ginger ale and specific amount of Mountain Dew I had all this morning. I was kind of wondering if this birthday was going to be a boring one. I took a nap, woke up from a call, picked up the phone and got a call from one of my ol' buddies to head out to Target since he needed to get a new watch and I needed to pick up some new light bulbs. Thanks to working on Saturday, I have a nice budget spread so I agreed and we headed out where I got to enjoy being with the guys again. I missed out on camping the weekend before because I needed to help with the restaurant for his ceremony.

We then went to Bennigans where I was still full from an overgreasy egg roll and orange chicken so I ordered a soup. I then went to the bathroom where at the time one of my friends was stealing sugar from another table so he could use it for camping. He took it from another table where a couple was sitting where a rather large fellow was sitting. From what the other person heard, he knew what he was doing and was looking through the sugar and then he said "Hmm... only sweet and low. I think he's trying to tell me something...!" Mein gott, if I knew what had happened I would be embarrassed as well as laughing my buttocks off.

After this and several jokes about my friend who had the fraidy poops at K-Mart from a guy staring at him, I returned home where I installed the bulbs. One lamp is busted, but the one still worked! I was ecstatic since more lamps means better study conditions for me. Then my mom brought me downstairs to get me some sushi and an envelope of money. Personally, I would have been just as happy with a birthday card, but it was definitely appreciated. I figure I'll just store it for a rainy day.

...and now, I work on my Western Civ work. Ugh, more stuff to work through, but thankfully I've still got half a bottle of Mountain Dew and some ginger ale as well as way too much study food here.

Don't store the sushi for a rainy day! I found out the hard way that it doesn't work like that :o
