So my boss found out that I have two vacation days that cannot be rolled over and told me that because of that I'm on holiday for the rest of the year. Sigh.

Joke's on them though, I'm probably going to pick through some work while on break (while things are slow) to catch up on things, so HA, let's see them try to stop me there!

In seriousness I am backlogged to hell and I would like to get back to normal hours with a lot of my backlogged cleaned out, so I will probably be working from behind the scenes to get things out the door and ready to send out once I get back. Someone might notice, but maybe people won't?

Well even if not, then I can focus on catching up on the other job which I put aside for a bit because Christmas was directly in the way of everything. Do you know how awesome it is to go to a morning meeting the day after Christmas? Yeah, fuuuuuun.

Speaking of which, also processed photos from the holidays (I push through those quickly because the adults usually want something for their IG. My parents btw were actually nice for once. We ate food at home (I figured it was a portion control thing), and I gave money and the usual things expected here. My brother asked Michelle if there's anything she might want while apologizing for being late (not a big deal over here really).

The in-laws were shocked we would get there after people ate (we honestly had three hours between them) but we were there and saw the kids open even more of their toy hoard. Took home a fair share of the food so we don't have to cook for awhile but it's also all protein so I will probably grab some greens while we're refilling the water jugs.

Also this time I had the battery swapped in my radio trigger so I could strobe off the ceiling. That made up for a lot of potential exposure issues that would have been impossible to clean up at ISO 3200. To compare, here's two images: one with Michelle's modern camera at ISO 3200 and no flash versus my old camera with a remote flash at ISO 400.

If you notice that Michelle's isn't that bad, that's what 20 years of camera development makes as a difference. Considering there's no light to assist, that's pretty impressive in my book.

By the way if you want more shenanigans, I finally gave in and made the tiktok. I doubt anyone will notice it but I need a dump for these kind of dumb vids and I'm not sure how well Imgur handles it. This is mostly because Smugmug is not accepting some of the videos I'm taking. I honestly don't have the time to make it into anything big anyway and I don't think it has the juice to do it right now anyway.

I don't know what to do for this Saturday only that it should be outside because we could always use the practice. Maybe we'll do some traveling, perhaps Philly or something, I dunno. I know the weather is terrible so maybe a museum or the aquarium in Camden?

Kingdom of Loathing is also taking up some time since it's something I can play on the phone and is generally amusing and they have a Christmas event.

In the meantime I'm going to hit the Peloton and take a shower.
