Just ordered some stuff for my brother: he said anything is good, so bought a lot of socks. Specifically, Smartwools and other hiking-type stuff. Not cheap, but good camping equipment is innately expensive.
My brother talked about some land that he got to use owned by a billionaire that lived in Tuxedo Lake and how he's this big ass survivalist type. It makes me find an odd parallel about how the poor live like they have to camp, and the rich try their hardest to learn the things people need to know because they have to. I dunno, maybe it's just me. I still like camping anyway.
Every week's been expensive. I'm getting lazier with my spending which is a bad habit. I think I mentioned this earlier. Very annoying. Still saving money though, so I can't complain, just nitpicking on myself.
Michelle had a stye this weekend and it was hurting more and more for her. Finally reached a point where we had to go to an ER. Oh, we tried cheaper methods too by the way: Teladoc got us someone who prescribed us meds that she needed to take immediately so we had it sent to a 24 hour pharmacy.
-that was looking for an overnight pharmacist so we couldn't get the prescription.
She's got a good health plan so the bill shouldn't be too insane, but it is going to be troublesome regardless. Worse to worst, her copay for ER is 250 and I figure they'll upcharge her another 50 for a 2 dollar set of antibodies. Expensive, but compared to my ER visit is a trifling.
At the moment, the stye has subsided remarkably.
We also had a thief steal a package. Thankfully, it was a 13 dollar item. Unfortunately, it only took an hour and a half to happen.
We tried to figure out some sort of innate way to obscure our door and long story short we spent a hundred dollars on stuff to decorate the front of the house. I'm going to also see if we can encourage the mail people to put the package in the trash bins (tbf there's almost never trash in there anyway since we just leave bags). On the bright side, it looks nice. On a better side, this is at cost of mostly items we got on clearance so just imagine spending one hundo on two hundo's worth of things. On the meh side, the cats marked it as territory so it'll be a week before it stops smelling of cat pee. Just hope this works better to block the sight of blatant packages.
