My personal hermitage

I'm living the introvert's dream: working from home daily, dealing with almost no one in general that I keep constant contact with outside of our coworkers. I like it. I'm not a fan of being paranoid since I live in a condo in a very urban area, but them's the breaks of being a guy who's lived in apartments and rural areas for a long time.
The only reason I mention this btw is because there's a van parted on the opposite side of our unit and the dude is just sitting around there. Whatever's happening has me curious but also concerned. Probably needlessly.
So our moving arrangement has mostly settled down now and we're down to five boxes. I also started to get back into my projects as a result. Did some art for that commission which is probably going to take forever at this rate.
In more important news, I received an offer for a job to work with NIH. They basically took me in immediately, so knowing that and that it's a government job, I'm very aware that I will probably get this job ganked as soon as I start my official day. Still, if it holds up, this is a federal job so will last as long as the administration does, give or take any furloughs I'll probably hit because I'm very aware of the midterms and grandstanding associated with our political theater.
On the bright side: I'm able to keep the old job too on a part time capacity, so I'll be working my ass off, but it'll also get me paid and supplement my income a bunch. For the first time I think we'll be at severe financial advantage for once (fyi Michelle also kept her old job as part time because they need trained workers that badly).
The only thing I'm trying to sort now is sleeping properly. I think I need to pay even more attention to this as the new job requires me to be up earlier than ever. Exercise might be messing with my posture so I'm trying to position my pillows to get around this.
