Is it worse to get a rejection or no response? I feel like a number of the jobs I applied to have not given me any callback, even companies that used to get back to me. It's been frustrating, and I can't believe I'm starting to miss getting the confirmation that I'm not selected.

In better news, my doc called me after my annual checkup. I got a tetanus shot and bloodwork while there (I think in insurance-ese that means I'm paying 300 for the experience, right?) and the results are basically overall much better than last year's.

I'm no longer prediabetic: my blood glucose is now at (the upper end of) healthy levels! My cholesterol is the only thing in question here as I seem to be deficient in good cholesterol, which includes items that I have in the fridge but haven't eaten because I've been trying to tamp down the CSA and my endless egg surplus.

I find the whole experience ironic because the stress of work and everything made me binge the night before the checkup, so was expecting the worst.

One of my unusually busy accounts is abnormally silent today. Not sure whether to be happy or incredibly wary, but going to take advantage of it while I can. Let me finish this post and I'll get back to being productive.

I feel that it's ruder not to give a response than to give a rejection. While receiving a rejection isn't fun, at least it allows you to cross that place off the list. I'm sorry you've had to deal with a lack of reply - I'm always frustrated by that, too.

Good to hear about the better health results - congrats!

I don't think they should leave people hanging. It doesn't matter if they weren't hired, tell them .
