Jan. 30th, 2020 01:49 pmI wrote a long ass rant on the dangers of metoo abusers and realized that my sources are potentially riddled with tribalism despite the concerns it brings up to me. I'll save you the trouble and just keep that forgotten.
Michelle is going to Disneyworld next week! Without me! Five days in the house by myself!
I keep thinking about all the writing I'm going to do, but seriously? I'll probably just sit around and play vidya games. Maybe I'll order a large thing of Chinese and salads and let that sustain me as I do nothing (outside of the two days where I go to the second job). Maybe I'll take a cheap route, buy a bunch of clearance meats, and eat them as I cook them into glorious foodstuffs (pork chop sale = endless pork katsu which I am very tempted for).
I'm happy that Michelle is okay with me not beingsomeone who appreciates a company with a history ofa Disney person. I'm sure she'll have fun.
AC Moore is going out of business, so like a proper scavenger now Michelle's Cricut stuff expanded even more. I think she feels bad she hasn't done anything with it so has promised to work on it while I game.
I have been cutting down on impulse grocery shopping and it's... a weird fight. Actually, it's been going good. The crates are getting less full and I'm using up old produce. Then I see something that normally isn't on sale suddenly get a price reduction and the cycle continues. -_-
Sweet things can be thrown into a blender smoothie.
Savory things can be stir fried.
The results have not been bad. I've already cut down two jars of old jam and I'm going to keep going with it. Normally we have milk going bad, but keeping bananas for smoothies has encouraged us to keep using it up. Things like this make me feel awesome just for reducing waste.
Even the latest recipe I made was rice cakes with chopped kale, garlic, brussel sprouts, bacon (clearance), salad shrimp (buy 1 get 1), parsley, and cilantro. I used up the stems by cooking them first with the kale and sprouts and then added the herbs after wards for a very fragrant dish. All that, and I got to replenish my lard supply in the process.
I caught up on work, but I think the company's going to hit another austerity program. Nothing to say about this beyond UGH.
I got time, so I'm going to see about scraping barrels on the job (figuratively) and figure out some scenarios for tonight's game (literally).

Date: 2020-01-31 03:42 pm (UTC)Other times, I'd just goof off in BoTW. I'm hoping that I bore out and actually get productive by the tail end of those days home. Otherwise, Watch Dogs 2 was always fun to goof in...
