Yup, Things are Moving Along

Not an amazing overall NaNo, but productive enough for me to be happy: I'm guesstimating around 13k words were put down for this campaign (it's broken between several doc files for sections) and I'm finishing up one of the early hubs in the game. I may need to get some graphing paper so I can etch out some primitive maps. I've had a few days when I did nothing out of laziness or because I've been too busy with other things. Last night was so far a good return. I think I do better after I physically exhaust myself, like it frees my mind to wander after my body is inhibited. All the same, if I finish this miniature section then I'm happy, though my goal is to have a chapter completed by the end of the month. This is ambitious though, as the game will expand significantly after this zone (hence the need for graphing paper).
This weekend didn't have much, but I figured out my menu to bring to Thanksgiving and wrote out the ingredients I need. I'm going to need a lot of heavy cream.
I noticed our debt load is on a standstill and will need to examine our budgets again to figure out how we're still not going lower despite the increased income. I know the car was a significant impediment. I told Michelle the irony of it and how I planned for our anniversary to be in Montreal under the pretense that we'd be mostly debt free by then. How wrong I was.
Weather
It's been snowing like crazy. We left the second job on Friday to a snowy scape and it's been snowing on and off ever since. Note: we have no snow tires as they are in NJ right now, so we need to drive like old Asians (with respect to me, we're halfway there) until Thanksgiving. The memory of the past Thanksgivings is not lost on me, especially the ones where we've seen cars in ditches and that one trip when any turn that went steeper than 30 degrees meant an instant skid.
The other thing is sickness: Michelle spent her Thursday at home recovering from a cold. I spent Monday with a tissue over my face and a need for warm things most of the day. I think we're all right now, but man do I not miss that.
Not much more to say, work is working. Is it odd that I feel like I'm starting to feel ennui from it? It's still a decent job though regardless.
