I know I must be doing decently with the trivia emails because people keep telling me they get a good laugh at my emails every week, but at the same time I don't feel like I'm doing enough to emphasize the social committee is doing this. I'll have to add that for the future posts.

Smugmug asked for their annual ounce of flesh. Feeling it in the pocketbook, but overall my payment this month is looking good for the card.

The new car needs winter tires and since Michelle put her card into a deposit, I told her I'm paying for it. It'll set me back a month, but it's to include rims and maybe sensors? We need to figure out if we need the sensors or not since the car currently has sensors so far, but not sure if we need new sensors for a new set of tires and rims. If not, then maybe I won't be too hard hit? I dunno though, I've been getting lavish with my expenses these days and my desires to eat out.

Cooking
I picked every freaking green bean this week because of last weekend's trip to NJ. Quite a few big ones too large to properly can, so realized this was a perfect time for casserole!

So the first casserole of the cold season was established: still got cans of Protestant glue in the shelves, and added some thigh meat finely chopped and part of a zucchini that is too freaking big. An entire box of crackers was sacrificed as we have no more bread crumbs. Sadness.

This was done while trying to go back and forth doing a podcast, so imagine a large figure shaking around chopped vegetables in a pot of whatever, then running back to a desk with a mic, then running back to an oven, then running back grunting into aforementioned mic, then running to get crusty topping, etc etc.

I'm glad I don't have a pet, the poor thing might have been trampled as I was trying to get that done.

We have no other large things of food at home, so I also made a stew. Burnt some boneless ribs, added chopped onion and noodlized zucchini, edamame, then chicken base, gochujan, miso paste, cayenne, etc. We got these fresh noodles from the Asian market that I threw in that were freaking amazing. Added some rice noodles and it's good to go.

I'm going to make chajangmyeon with these noodles and I know it will be a fantastic experience. Also thinking of some banchans to add to it.

Also, apple cider time! We have maybe another month I think before the season finishes, so I'm going to guzzle this season for every drop it's worth, especially if I can find some ginger cider.

This is good momentum I think; large meals mean we don't need to buy out food through the week. The stews are kind of hard though since the lifespan for those tend to be limited especially with the type of noodles used. Maybe I need to stick to udon more often... I'm probably going to regain a ton of weight at this rate though. I already feel my pants getting tighter again and this heavy food isn't going to help.

I feel like the worst part of me so far has been gorging on ice cream since we got a tub of it from a recent sale. I need to get back on my fruit cup kick again.

As you can tell I've been writing a lot about food today; the fridge running low has been preoccupying me that much I guess. I think I miss cooking.
