After my stint with the Museum's Discovery Tour department, I have to admit that it was very nice. The atmosphere was friendly, the people were nice, and despite the menial nature of data entry, it was overall pretty decent. My supervisor liked my work ethic and, when I asked if the museum was open at later times on Tuesday (because I wanted to go hang out a bit and check out the exhibits for old times sake), she gave me two superpasses: free exhibits! Free IMAX! Free Planetarium!
Ecstatic expressions were definitely difficult to contain afterwards and I felt like a kid. Also found out they have a tapas bar on Friday beneath the Planetarium. Now I wish I made more money too so I could enjoy this gift properly. Well that, and so I could consider paying for one of those Discovery Tours trips for my parents; some interesting packages they have here that I'm sure would be interesting to my parents.
