I've got some seriously mixed feelings about the Jena 6 business, and just had a long debate with the Dear Doctor and his roommate about it last night.
I know most people think that DAs have unlimited power to prosecute or not, but they're still confined by what the laws of their home state are. And from my cursory review of the facts, I'm inclined to think that Walters acted appropriately (given the state of the law in Louisiana).
