Found a decent community on Flickr and trying to integrate there; Flickr's been a ghost town for a long time, basically just a dumping ground for people that want to just drop their photos, Second Life content, and AI scrapers and most of the groups have simply gone unmoderated as their admins went awol. Everyone I friended back then is completely gone as well.
Between this, I'm uploading some photos to Alamy. There's a lot that I finally got around to in terms of that. Of course I'm still going back and forth with the camera as we get more practice. Finally took her to Secaucus to check out some marsh trails and she ended up loving my 200-600. In fact, she loves it so much that she wants it, so she's "buying" it from me and using the exchange to pay for a 400-800 for me (which I ironically wanted when I realized it existed). We're preordering while the price is what it is on account of *gestures wildly*.
I have a high school musical to attend and I don't know anyone except the production manager who is the SIL and she's kind of flakey with her family affairs and it's the grandma's birthday (she didn't want to go either, she told her that but I think she's going anyway) so I'm that much more incentivized to swap out the old batteries for a set of earbuds that I'm going to try to get set up. Will I do a good job? Probably not. Am I incentivized to get it done before noon so I have something to listen to aside from a bunch of amateur drama teens that fumble their lines? YES.
If I seem mean about it, I really don't want to be. Last year, however, I was brought to see their School of Rock production and was not impressed at a cast that was mostly going by the book and felt oddly cast, so anticipate more of the same.
Oh, and work's getting done, because I'm getting work done! Glad to have some progress in clearing things up.
