Feb. 1st, 2024 01:26 pmI never did talk about jury duty, did I?
I was selected for a dental malpractice suit. 8 jury members. Woo.
Do you ever lurk through an argument on Twitter or Facebook or even Reddit and wade through 30 posts where two people obsessed with never admitting they're wrong are wasting hours upon hours just to write how they're right without giving a single step in to admit any faults?
That was my jury trial. Two people basically going "this u" every other moment, talking up the person they represented like a stan account, just... wasting time to say they won the argument. Except I will give them this: they're paid to waste that time.
It really turned me off from arguing with people online for that reason, it just felt so meaningless after seeing this and realizing that the people on socmed could be lawyers (tbf some of them are) but honestly it feels like if you have that time, then study in legal and then take the bar instead so you can do it as a job, just feels like a waste otherwise.
Aside from that life lesson, I'm slowly trying to readjust to working again. Two weeks away from work is seriously screwing with my work ethic and its like I'm undergoing recovery.
Aside from that, we took our first drive to NYC. Bronx Zoo. Not as bad a drive if you approach from the Cuomo bridge. GWB or Lincoln/Holland on the other hand? Lol no.
The zoo was expensive! It was also really good! We're going back this weekend. Mondo spending for my own enjoyment!
That's pretty much it unless you want to hear about me making hummus or my sleep adjustments lol that's not worth the mention imo.
