Sep. 14th, 2020 07:04 pmGood news: I still have a job.
Bad news: the job is still bad.
Monday's news was that we got Ted Turner'd: we are now in collaboration with a rival company and this threw everything off. So all the integration plans we had in effect? Yeah, they're kicked back. We were also promised that layoffs are still in effect, just moved back by a month. Yay?
I have another request for interview. This time it's for a hospital as an admin. I can guarantee the pay won't be good, but the stress and workload can't be worse.
This weekend was nice at least: food shopping montage! We got some deals and I managed to get a good haul, so we'll be fine indoors for weeks. Found some raw honey and bought 16.5 pounds of the stuff (!) for my mom's friend the writer. Just shipped it. eBay also gave a coupon for 25 bucks and had no idea what to do with it so decided to risk it all on eBay jerky made by a stranger. I live dangerously.
I put my money in for my debts and it's lower than expected too, thank god. I could pay it if I really want to push my rainy day fund, but I'm not insane. I am just glad we have options for work.
I think.
Anyway, wedding in MD in three weeks. Need to fill out leave forms. Then I work the second job late and head back home and check my office work again because I'm finding errors that are making me goddamn paranoid.
