Another week followup
Feb. 24th, 2019 11:31 amYeah, it's been a week. I'm still a bit sore over the wedding costs, but I think that weekend just reminded me how much I'm losing the appeal of these trips to NJ.
I promised myself to keep in budget for this weekend since the weekend before that I spent more than I should. I went 2 dollars over my allotment expectations but in all honesty I had cash too and that kind of balances out. All this really changes for me is when I send my additional payments to my credit card, as I have a bit of money put aside from the second job to help pay out my bills.
I really don't need to worry too much about it; it balances out next week when I get payday from both jobs. I've been chronically fatigued, though through most of the week. Work's been keeping me swamped and when I'm not swamped, I'm idling expecting some big deliveries from our clients due to deadlines.
I'm happy to say most of the deadlines are done for this week. Still, I can't seem to sleep beyond 7-8 hours and I feel like I want another hour or two of sleep when I wake up. My weeknights were me burning into the midnight hours. On one day, I was applying to job openings. On another, I set up an ad for the local newspaper to offer wedding photography for cheap. On yet another, I worked on seeing if I could remove as much rust as possible from my Photoshop skills.
The deposit doubled my debt load and I'm still calculating factors on how to reduce as much as possible so that I can take over Michelle's debt load. I think I can clear my debts if I don't make any big purchased by July. That should give me the opportunity to get another 2k until September, which we will need to pay for additional expenses we didn't think of, like a chauffeur or alcohol which I know they will drink lots of.
On the bright side, this gives me an excuse to buy a preamp; I wanted one to use my analog mics for recording. I think we were entertaining the idea of getting one so we could run a karaoke machine.
I still hate this, but at least I have some idea on how to make this work. Michelle right now is working on a save the date reminder.
So far Michelle did a number count and it's not even 40. I have no idea if we'll have enough people offer enough money to pay back all the debt of this.
Well that aside, it's good to be busy. If anyone has any idea for a good preamp/compressor setup for a computer hookup, I sure as hell would appreciate the advice.
I also spent way too much time talking about Bernie Sanders these days. Twitter can not seem to get enough of him. Hillary voters seems to treat it as the return of the death of the Democratic party and Trump is emailing me endless reminders that he will destroy the country. I get it, it's significant, but Christ, it's just one guy who supported a fringe that the DNC did not regularly account for and is now the left's antichrist for it even after telling people to support Hillary after the fact.
That'll be hopefully all the political ranting you'll get for this entry. And with that, I should go do stuff and try not to fall asleep.
