Shedding the Old Life Away
Jun. 24th, 2009 01:08 pmBy the way, almost forgot to mention this:
-Sonic finally opened here. First day it started the place was packed. They actually had people stand outside the lots with signs that said "Lot full". People were parking in lots several buildings away along the freeway just to walk over and get food there. I wish I was joking because it sounds unbelievable, but it's true and I forgot my camera to remark on it.
You guys might not believe that people really care about that chain over here, but I think 10 years of saturating the audience with commercials tends to create that sort of hysteria. I'm sure it'll die down, but for now it's like a gold rush. I feel sorry for the employees, who probably deserve hazard pay for the saturation they're taking from this.
