Stupidity of the Day:
While Mazur's team was busy assisting Hall, two Italian climbers walked past them toward the summit. When asked to help, they claimed they did not understand English. On his return to base camp, Mazur discovered they did.

If I ever scale, I'll either bring a shitload of supplies, or it'll be to make sure people come down instead of up.

Looks like other African countries are putting their foot down on the warlord problem. The thought that a couple of those warlords are Washington-funded is depressing. What warren8472 said about Kay's diamonds is also being used in the website for DeBeers(which was admittedly one of the big untouched offenders in the conflict diamond market) is equally depressing.
