Temp Opportunity
Jun. 16th, 2005 04:18 pmThe job hunt continues to pan poorly as I am now forced by one of my temp agencies into a gig that is based on the circumstance that I previously worked on them four years ago; a very annoying premise considering how they don't even give any consideration towards the education I had or any of my other job experiences in-between then.
In this moment, I'm kind of stuck considering a data entry gig at 12/hour within Jersey City; convenience, though it's... data entry. It won't pad my resume unless I seek application in a field that involves working in *surprise!* data entry. I don't mind doing it; I mean, I programmed a website in html using nothing but notepad, so it can't be too much more redundant, right? Still though, I'm a bit unsure if I'm receiving regular wages for something that could be potentially worse. Even worse, I'm enjoying life in the library more than I'd like; should I really sacrifice it for more money if it means more annoyances?
Anyway, the contract is for 6 months. Perhaps in that time I'll be able to find something better. I don't want to bother hearing my mother complain about how I'm freeloading or whatever else. :p
