Weekly Checkup
Mar. 17th, 2005 11:36 amSpring break, and that means students everywhere are having fun somewhere!
-which is why I added this predictable quip where I say I'm on campus working!
And to be honest, I couldn't be any happier. No sarcasm, I really enjoy the money that comes out of a 25-30 hour work week. There's not much to do, and I get some more writing done. Plus it pays for the new hard drive I picked up; 160 gigs of storage happiness with my new Seagate slave. :D
Mandrashard is currently on page 19 and converts to about 44 pages in the proper format (Courier double-space), 45 if I include some excerpt I typed up awhile back. Still not worthy of being underlined, but if I pump myself a little more, I could probably make it earn that underline.
Season 9 of my MST3K:MTG is almost finished. I have two movies I haven't mtg'd; "Devil Fish" and "Puma Man." After that, it's season 10, which I'm still missing a number of key episodes. Right now I'm trying to pick up "Blood Waters of Dr. Z" which seems to be a rare episode. That means it'll probably be a painful episode, I guess (I had to skim four times over "Riding with Death" and spent hours trying to figure out what kind of card to make out of "Turkeys" since that was such a recurring theme in the episode). At the same time I'm picking up some of the older episodes I'm missing. Season 4-6 have some serious holes in my collection.
I also decided to screw around with Civ 3 and Morrowind again. My damn system is too slow to run Morrowind in a proper resolution and is too old to be upgraded beyond 512k (I found this out through experience. Ewiz will get their DIMM back by friday). Tonight in the year of 1800, the Japanese Cavalry will take down those Persian bastards and their Riflemen with support from my new battalions of Infantry. After I develop conscription, I'll sic their own conquered men against them (which I know they can't make anyway since they have no terrain access to rubber). After this, I go for the tank and then string out every other aggressive country faster than you can say blitzkrieg. Well if not that, then a young Nordish rapscallion will be seen traversing through Pelegiad on the way to Balmora poking through crypts and stealing people's stuff.
This all sounds so terribly interesting, doesn't it?
