No more Tutoring

Thank goodness, some of those Basic English people were such leeches. I had to advise two people on plagiarism and one asked me for a private tutoring session just so they could see if I could help them cheat. Still, for 9.25 an hour it's better than the usual fare and I think my professor wants to have me join a writing workshop where the fare is 30/hour. Wow. I have this feeling I won't get it, but one can always dream.

I've been rereading Psychological statistics and I'm realizing it's not as hard as I once thought it was. In actuality, it even seems a little fun. I still have to work on that research project stuff though. Ah well, in due time...

Right now to appease my small attention span I now work on an old rpg I found that I made up when I was in high school. I'm hoping to revise it in due time. Maybe I'll post the info on it after I get most of the stuff on it finished. All in due time, due time.

A New Way to Make Money off of Harry Potter!

I was told of how there was a number of copies in Australia of the fifth book of "Harry Potter" to be flawed with around a thousand copies having a repeat in the center of the book. Apparently, there is now this demand for these rare flaws that it has me thinking... Why hasn't China cashed in on this?

Yes, the same place famous for bootlegging movies, toys, electronics, and many other consumer products can find a new niche: bootleg books!

They could have these really cheaply made copies made that are just reprinted pages of one Harry Potter book. Then, they can slice them evenly enough to make them look like pages, but unevenly enough for a reader to not notice that a few margins of the pages have been sliced off in the bindind process. Then, as the final touch, they take pictures from the Harry Potter movies, and then slap them on the covers to make them look like an alternate cover. Finally, to protect them against copyright infringement, they change the title slightly. Here are some possible title ideas-

"POTTER"
"Harry! Potter!"
"Potter of Harry"
"Harry Patter"
"Sorcerer Rock"
"Harry the Potter"
"Harry Poter"
"Chamber Secret"
"Lo wai Magic"
-and of course, they could just put that Harry Potter kid's face smackdab on the cover and hope that the person's eyes will convince them enough that they were too lazy to put the name there.

It only cost them a few cents to make per book and they can still sell them at a price way below the normal price, and to add even more entertainment value, random Harry Potter fans will eat them up as they represent an example of memorabilia that is so strange, so bizarre, and yet so touching, that they must buy all the different variants of them.
