Guess Who Went to Baltimore?
Mar. 17th, 2003 12:10 amYeah, the Orioles did, but that's because they live there. Leave me alone!
The Eastern Psychologist's Association was holding their annual meeting in scenic (aka boring but pretty) Baltimore. In the eyes of people interested in traveling, it means going somewhere new. In my terms, it means spending most of the day going to lectures and spending the nights sleeping and eating (in no particular order). I slept in a hotel that housed the people who were in Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey since they were performing in the arena on the opposite corner of the block. Unfortunately, I saw no clowns around aside from some of the graduate students there.
I learned many things, but I'll try to sum it up succinctly-
1. I'm going to need a FUCKING LOT of GRE study guides
2. Grad students fear me, along with everyone else I see
3. Rutgers/Camden won the award for best Psi Chi charter because "they used red and black in website, which are the colors of the school."
4. I finished another chapter of the story project, which will be posted in due time. Amazing what kind of stories you can make up when they're inspired by ideas from carrotguins.
5. They have a lot of pretty-looking leasable apartment buildings over there. Mmmmmmm... leasy.
Now that we have fulfilled that task, I will unpack whilst awaiting to see what sort of notes I get
