zesty_pintoMichelle's parents came back from Portugal today and prepped a menu for them. Since her grandmother is very health-conscious, I ended up making a very simple menu of things ranging from Japanese side dish, two different styles of fish, and a pilaf that used two different types of rice as well as a salad that was composed of mostly local ingredients. They loved it! I spent some time trying to think this out to have them try new things, so it was a big relief seeing it was mostly vegetarian. Learning how to get umami done properly is a big help.
Aside from that, I'm glad to say that things are mostly boring. There are other things I should write about, but still kind of busy. That's the thing: they're boring, but boring with work. Aka, I'm busy and have not much to talk about work that doesn't sound boring or potentially breach of private information-y.
I'll have more to talk about though. Hopefully.
