I was mistaken, the birthday party is in two weeks. Yes, it's for a two year old. Yes, the food is still going to be bad because they're not very good at determining taste. Michelle is still debating how to decline the offer. I am told if the dress fitting is already sorted then we can go from there. Okay, not a problem.

I spent last night working on Battletech since Sunday's weather was persistently awful. I finally realized that almost all but (maybe) one mod no longer works, which is annoying since it means I sacrificed 12 mod-based mechs for the sake of 2 new ones. To be fair though, the two that were added are much neater, but still. I have yet to see most of the new DLC models anyway. Worse about it though is that being stuck at home with nothing to do but persistent concentration work just makes me compulsively eat. I can probably lose a lot of weight if I just bought really high end components and played quick games instead of extensive RPG-like building games. Had problems sleeping as a result I think.

It's a slow Monday, everything's relatively quiet. Not a problem, but it always makes me feel bad. Listening to Squatch Smashers and checking the inbox every so often.

This weekend was nothing special: the weather was gorgeous, which was perfect for getting some extra planting. The beans are growing out and will hopefully start vining in another week and I'll probably start reinforcing the frame once I get the chance. Watercress seeds have started sprouting. I planted some collards along the fence. No idea if it'll grow, but just want it to turn into something.

We really wanted to hike, but Sunday was too miserable. Michelle later expressed regrets that we didn't go out. I kind of do as well, though when the clouds are so dreary, it's not enough to justify seeing, well... not much.

Michelle's period meant burgers. I also made the pork chops and did another stirfry with all the leftover vegetables from the previous week. She didn't seem interested before, but today she liked it paired with some fried rice. I have this beautiful cupcake on my desk as well but I can't eat that many sweets so it sits here, all dressed up and nowhere to go for the time being. The fridge is good for food for a week and a half,. I'd say even if I don't make inari.

Bombay spice chickpeas are bland, but I'm not hungry anyway. I must be bored. Also switched back to dandelions. Found another sale for cold cuts (thanks, clearance sales!), so I overspent for the sake of not making proteins for my lunch for a few weeks.

Michelle's got more wedding stuff figured out. I asked about cider from one local place, but no luck there since they don't do pint bottles (half gallon only), so I'm going to have to look around some more. There are other places of course, but I was really hoping for that particular place. There's another orchard that's closer and is larger in size.

By the way, back on games: Cadence of Hyrule is really tempting. I've enjoyed Crypt of the Necrodancer for awhile and is in my standard rotation as a game to play when I want to goof off but not waste too much time on the computer. I have even considered it as the best excuse to get a dancepad eventually. In time I'll get it, though for now I'll just continue hearing people gush about it. I've still got other things on my mind.

Two weeks down for payments this month.
