It's Sunday and I can't convince myself to relax. I put myself in my desk seat under this specific pretense, but I feel rattled and tired and at the same time wanting to do something. Does anyone else get this sense of restlessness?
By the way, I spent today picking a handful of fiddleheads and put them into a thai-style curry.
The gifts I ordered for Michelle all came in, along with chickpea snacks. I'm following
notasupervillain's advice and am trying to up my nutrition game again by switching from flavored peanuts to flavored garbanzos. Twice the carbs but 1/6th the fat. Plus, they're priced competitively when compared with peanuts at a little more and they're a sustainable crop that'll make me feel a little less guilty for watching it.
Also remembered to get dandelion greens this time. I'm going back to zero.
Michelle isn't looking forward to the coming weekend with her friends. They want to do something to celebrate her and another friend's birthday, but don't really want to do things they want to do unless it also is okay for their two year olds to come along too! I'm sure you family people know that adult things are two year olds don't really match up too well.
Going to watch some TV with Michelle since she's been waiting to watch certain shows with me. I'll keep up with Grace and Frankie until I fall asleep I think. Hope the weekend is being good to you!

Date: 2019-05-06 08:56 am (UTC)That sounds like an amazing idea for fiddleheads. I've only ever had them with butter. Dammit now I'm extra jealous that I can't get them here.
My condolences to Michelle. Two year olds are no fun.

Date: 2019-05-07 05:52 pm (UTC)My friends were like that. They wouldn't go if their kids weren't invited. Yes it's some fun to have a BBQ with booze and a bunch of kids running around.
My brother and SIL were never like that. They had no problems at all leaving my neices with a friend or relative. Kids don't belong at adult functions.
