zesty_pintoI don't want to turn this blog political, but this involves a multi-award winning sci-fi writer.
Her trip to the Nebula awards had her being manhandled in the worst way yet. The treatment was so bad that I am honestly upset about it; she already has had 7 years of this just for being Canadian with a non-Anglican sounding name.
If North Korea ends up going farther and becomes the next big bogeyman, I really am not going to appreciate the coming years. I already hate flying for other reasons.
Edit: Also this. This is almost always the first big step that happens before something turns into a cyberpunk scenario. Just because I like the genre doesn't mean I want it.
