How Do You Sort Several Years Into An Archive?
So things are moving along again. Work's gotten lighter again, but my brain is getting turned into sloppy joe again. All is right with the world.
I say this but in all honesty this is the lighter load of my usual days. I've still got stuff to do, of course, but I also feel like the intensity of it has broken down substantially. Plus I keep getting insisted upon to take some time off. Michelle has Friday off, so I might as well.
We're off to the Bronx Zoo. Got some tickets for the Halloween thing too just to see. Saturday I help with Persimmon harvesting and grooming the tree. Sunday is Storm King. We've got things to do.
Hopefully neat things to show later.

Okay I'm done sounding potentially demanding and passive aggressive. Those activities sound worthy of taking time off, esp the Halloween stuff (what is that exactly?) but I would also be pretty hyped to go to any zoo for any reason (or no reason even!)

So re: Halloween, the Bronx Zoo has an annual pumpkin festival where they have these carved pumpkins of animals, some even whole animals made of multiple pumpkins. There's also projected image animations, food trucks and trivia. It was cool but also if I had a kid I know I'd be afraid to bring them there since it's full of kids and it's dark so it's hard to see.
I've only really visited the ones around the Northeast, but the Bronx Zoo is still my favorite. It's just got the space and the history to have some great exhibits.
