Dream

Driving along the shore of a New England coast, I end up entering a dark tropical paradise. Somewhere along the way, I stop at a motel, where there is an arcade. One of the games is a side-scrolling “Final Fight”-ish format. I play it, but the world I play is the same world I entered, and I go through the beach area into a building fighting off people through punches and kicks.

The building’s exit takes me to the beach. There is a number of treasures out there, but one in particular I can see from a distance lying in an unreachable place where children watch, because it is in a sand sink that no one can jump from. I see Bruce Campbell get down there. I then reenter a comic shop where I realize I remember who these people are since I used to work with these guys. While talking with them, I find a pathway around inside the building that leads up to a large open endless area and I realize that it is the gateway to heaven. I am no longer who I am, though, but I become Bruce Campbell. Bruce Campbell wields a golf club and I fight a large hellish demon that seeks to open the gates and swing and strikes repeatedly against it. I think at one point, Bruce pulls out a shotgun on it too, but finally a robed figure comes and helps defeat the creature. The robed figure thanks Bruce and explains that he is one of the guardians of the gate.

Somewhere, I end up replaying this reality again, and I realize that the comic shop people all protected the gate. The man in the robe was one of the coworkers of the comic shop that the demon passed by and called pathetic looking. He was actually the strongest one of the group.
