Healthy as a (Fat) Horse
Oh, I got an update on an annual blood test I took a week ago and got to compare with my results more than a year ago.
Since the last checkup, I lost over 20 pounds.
My glucose level is still elevated, but only a hair over.
There's no fatty tissue on my liver anymore.
My cholesterol is still high too, but nowhere near as bad as it was. The cholesterol game is never going to stop confusing the hell out of me as I keep being warned/advised to eat shrimp for its cholesterol. I dunno, it might be the fried foods that will always be my downfall.
I have a SEVERE vitamin D deficiency, which might explain why I'm always so tired. I'm taking vitamins now and even if it's a placebo, it's doing a great job making me feel less exhausted. Even my appetite feels diminished compared to before; not like I don't want to eat anymore, more like I can't eat much at all. I couldn't even finish some hand roll burrito thing I bought the other day. Salads are light and the fiber keeps me full of gas, so I guess it's adding up.
Weight loss and eating dandelions has its benefits.

(I work an evening shift cleaning offices, forcing me to do manual labor whether I like it or not)
2. High fiber diets. Just eating lots of vegetables, use as little sauce as possible, eat it every day for lunch.
It's monotonous, but works for me. That and cutting back on sugar, though I think that's also giving me some cholesterol problems too.
Be warned: #2 means you will fart a lot.

The exercise/movement you get from your job probably does help a lot. It's a struggle for me to get in 6k steps during a typical work day, even when I take Bruce for a walk.
