If it makes you feel better, that link was about raw peanuts! Roasted ones (which you normally eat) are fine. I honestly only keep raw ones since I boil them or use them for congee.

After this experience, I think we're tempted to move to an area that is closer to industrial parks just because the signal is better. It turns out the umbrage on our end comes from being so close to the mountains. Which is a bit of a shame since we want nice views too, but this is the eternal struggle, ha!
