I looked into "Little Mosque on the Prairie" and noticed it's a sitcom? Is it a more formulaic style comedy? My concern with sitcoms is that they come with a certain nostalgic baggage that rarely makes it good enough to be creative with the comedy while also being a sitcom.

Of course as I typed this I realized that "Park and Rec" is labeled as a sitcom and did relatively well despite being creatively funny.

I always found being brought up religious was a great litmus test on understanding how to question things. Do you think dinosaurs (which your friends all love) are worth denying the fact that a divine being made reality in 7 days (which your parents say is right)? Do you think it's okay to think other people's gods who made that same reality remarkably similarly are fakes compared to your god who did the same thing but labeled everything differently and thinks the loud guy in the big house is more right than the other guys?

I guess by thinking of that too, you also can see how "fish out of water" scenarios are such a ripe breeding ground for comedic ideas.
