Eragon: Yeesh

You know, when I was 15 I was also writing my own novel. When I looked it over in the later years, I considered it the equivalent of a bad Xena episode, not because it was based on Xena (at the time, I think I watched maybe one episode and got tired of it), but because it didn't have enough development and plot to make me feel like it was worth reading for a long period of time. Yet, someone who's two years older manages to write a novel that not only rips off several plots from famous authors but offers nothing new also gets a book deal AND a movie? Talk about depressing.

The movie was no less depressing. )

On the bright side, at least I didn't pay for this movie. The icee that I drank as I watched the movie, however, deserved more recognition. Still, any movie that ends with music from Alanis Morrisette is the poop-flavored icing on the turd cake. John Malkovich probably chose this role because he wanted to try and see if he was good enough to help improve a really bad movie.

Looking up music videos on youtube is fun. And to think this started with looking up bad album covers.

I don't care what people think, I would buy Karatist Preacher for being the most bizarre thing I've seen so far. Hell, I wouldn't listen to it, I'd just hang it on a wall. So if I see a poster of it, I'd also enjoy that.

Anyway, I didn't realize that almost every Pet Shop Boys video ever made was listed on youtube, which to me is awesome since my bro addicted me to their stylish beats.

"I'm always hoping you'd be faithful./ But you're not I suppose.
We've both given up smoking 'cause it's fatal./ So whose matches are those?"

Sudden confrontation like a slap in the face. Gotta love lyrics like that. Now if only I could stop looking oddly at those 90210 hairstyles. I was surprised to even see the music video for Absolutely Fabulous video by Pet Shop Boys.

If it wasn't for the oddity that youtube is officially a popular thing even among the trendy, I'd hail youtube for doing exactly what MTV no longer does.

Oh god, just remembered Level 42. Now I have to look up some other old favorites.
